This session is presented on behalf of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association and will present the journey of someone sustaining an ABI, the importance of structuring activities at home and building up to work tasks and demands. In reality a large percentage of this group of people do not return to their previous work role however alternative productive tasks are explored - volunteering, education and so on. Those that do go back to work often require support they can dip back into as they can be sensitive to changes in systems and structures. Practice examples and examples of innovative work relating to ABI from other providers will be shared.
