Experiencing a trauma, fall or illness can result in reduced independence within everyday situations. Looking after yourself, managing a home, fulfilling family roles or work, education and leisure interests can become difficult or impossible.
Reduced independence and activity levels over time can increase your likelihood of further health problems and increased long-term care and support needs.
